Dug Popovich

Founder & CEO, Area 52 · Former CIA Operations Officer

Dug Popovich is the Founder and CEO of Area 52, a cybersecurity and intelligence firm, and a retired CIA Operations Officer with over two decades of experience in HUMINT collection. He served eight tours overseas with the State Department and the CIA, including two as Chief of Station (COS) in Latin American countries and a tour in Iraq. He holds a master's degree from Yale and a bachelor's from the University of San Diego, where he was a two-time Academic All-American. He is the author of three books. He lives in Virginia.
